Deeji Killian and Bob TangneyThe Sparkling Choir of Love was founded by a husband and wife team, Deeji Killian and Bob Tangney. Both are professional opera singers who met in 1994 while singing together as Musetta and Colline in Puccini’s La Bohème. They shared a vision of nurturing a joyous, non-competitive performing arts group that would gear its activities toward raising money for the needy.
Deeji has a substantial background in dance and theater and more than 20 years experience as a singer and voice teacher, and Bob sang for sixteen years with the Seattle Opera Chorus and is a gifted pianist. The couple has also founded “All Are Stars Productions,” a non-profit community music/theater organization.
